A beauty and brains pageant, Miss Teen Philippines USA is now on its fifth year searching for the most beautiful and talented migrant Filipino teenager in the United States of America. The chosen five of the twelve finalists representing various states in America shall have the chance to receive cash award, a free round trip ticket back to her home country, be an ambassador of charitable acts of her chosen community in the Philippines, become a scholar of a famous New York – base acting/modeling school and the rare opportunity to do modeling stints in New York and elsewhere in the USA, and the Philippines.

The brain-child of the Philippine Hearts and Hopes Society, Inc. (PHHOSO). New York, New York, Miss Teen Philippines USA was conceived by Ms. Nena L. Kaufman, Founder and President, in  pursuit of young ladies of Filipino descent, age 14 to 18, who are  willing to discover or rediscover their best asset and potentials, one teenager who is eager to transform herself from being coy into a dynamic personality and a true Filipina, who, despite her years of interaction with Uncle Sam still finds her Filipino identity, tradition and cultural heritage. On top of this, she must also be one youth who has the heart to work for the benefit of the underprivileged communities in the Philippines through her work of charity. The search likewise opens the door for these young ladies of Filipino ancestry to hone their talents, skills in modeling, public speaking, both with other immigrants, share stories / experiences and above all build their self-esteem as well as improve their self-confidence.
