Aims and Objectives
- To develop and appreciate our unique heritage and cultural values as Filipino-Americans.
- To showcase the true beauty, talents, and skills of our young Filipino-American teens through exposure and experience.
- To contribute positive influence among our young generations in building self-confidence and self-esteem.
- To promote camaraderie among parents and healthy competitions among the candidates.
- To serve as a division/charity partner of PHHOSO, INC. to raise funds to save lives, alleviate human suffering, and provide scholarships for the deserving students in the Philippines.

To serve as ambassador of goodwill in presenting donations to the under-served areas in the Philippines
Qualifications of Contestants:
- Must be of Filipino ancestry.
- Must be female and of good moral character.
- Must be single, never been married, and have no biological children.
- Must not be less than fourteen (14) nor more than eighteen (18) years of age on the day of the final contest.
- Must be at least a high school student.
- Must possess beauty of face and figure, poise, pleasant personality and talent, and

Must be at least five feet tall or more.
Rules and Regulations:
- Number of contestants is limited to twelve (12) qualified candidates only.
- Contestants must come from any of the 50 states in the USA.
- Contestants must be recommended by an individual, a Filipino-American organization, or one of the members of the organizing committee.
- Contestants must submit one (1) 5” x 7” recent color photograph for press releases. They must fill out the registration form and the acceptance contract must be signed by them and their parents (even if the contestant is of age) to be submitted on or before July 30, 2008.
- Upon receipt of the applicant’s signed registration form and acceptance contract, on January 31, 2008 (Deadline of Application) the candidates will receive a certificates of acceptance of her candidacy along with the advertising contracts which the candidates and their parents agree to seek for publication in the 5th Miss Teen Philippines USA Pageant 2009 Souvenir Program in their honor.
- All contestants or parents must sell a minimum of five (5 ) pages of advertisement. They must also invite at least two (2) tables or more guests to the 5th Miss Teen Philippines USA 2008 slated for August 2, 2008, Conlon Hall, Bergenfield, New Jersey(by special demand from supporters). Candidates outside the Tri-State area may or may not fulfill the required two guest rule, instead, they are asked to voluntarily sell six (6) or more pages of advertisements.
- All advertisements and guest tickets must be paid on or before July 30. 2008.
- The general admission is $25.00 Orchestra, $35.00 Balcony. Sponsor is $ 70.00(VIP section with meals). Souvenir Journals rates are $100.00(full page), $60.00(half page), $30.00 (quarter page). Checks should be made payable to PHHOSO, Inc., Memo: Miss Teen Philippines USA funds and mailed to: 141 W. 72nd St., Suite 4, New York, NY 10023, Att’n: Mr. Lito Pernia.
- All contestants, after all the requirements are submitted and signed, will no longer be able to withdraw from their candidacy, except for health or other reason beyond their control. They must submit a medical certificate and a formal letter justifying their withdrawal.
- Contestants or their parents must agree to be responsible for the candidates’ outfits, shoes, hair and make-up appropriately with the approval of the organizing committee for the whole event.
- Contestants must be willing to wear shorts or resort wear during the pageant night and parents must agree to it.
- All contestants must have uniform gowns and colors and made of the same fabric. Only one designer or store is designated by the organizing committee at a very reasonable or affordable price.
- Contestants will be presented for selection and coronation during the selection of the 5th Miss Teen Philippines USA 2009 Pageant and show. A board of judges will rate each contestant based on the following criteria with the following system:

- The decision of the board of judges shall be final as to the winners of the contest. The chairman of the board of judges shall announce the winner of the 5th Miss Teen Philippines USA 2009 and the runner-ups.
- There will be one winner of Miss Teen Philippines USA 2009. The other remaining contestants will be given one of the titles of: First Runner-up, Second Runner-up, Third Runner-up and Fourth runner-up. Aside from these titles, the following are added awards: Best in Gown, Best in Talent, Best in Personal Interview, Miss Congeniality, Best in Resort Wear, Miss Spirit Award, Most Promising Model, Miss Philippine Tourism USA and Most Adorable Candidate.
- Should the winner of the title of Miss Teen Philippines USA 2009 fail to perform her duties, the First Runner-up shall replace her automatically.
- The winner of the title of Miss Teen Philippines USA 2009 shall win one (1) non-transferable round trip ticket to the Philippines and receives $1,000 Scholarship. She will be the Ambassador of Goodwill in presenting donations to deserving charities through the Philippine-based ECL Foundation, Inc. together with the Miss Philippines Hearts and Hopes USA 2009, the amount of which shall be determined by the finance committee of the organization. She will have a TV appearance in the Philippines subject to the schedule and approval of the TV Networks. She will be honored with a crown, a trophy, a sash, a banner bearing her name, and a bouquet of flowers. She will compete in the Miss Asia competition when she reaches the required legal age of 18 – 25 years at the time of the competition. All expenses are paid by PHHOSO, Inc.
- The Miss Teen Philippines shall uphold her title during her reign as Miss Teen Philippines USA 2009 exclusively for one year. (This prevents her from competing in other beauty pageants or accepting non beauty pageants as long as she carries the title.) Non compliance to this rule is a sign of negligence which will result in stripping off the title.

Miss Philippine Angel of Charity 2009
The Miss Philippine Pearl America Idol 2009 will be given to a popular candidate who can gather the highest votes from the web site of the Miss Teen Philippines USA. Miss Philippine Hearts and Hopes USA 2009 will be given to a candidate who can solicit the highest amount through ticket sales, donations from sponsors, raffles and journal advertisers, in accordance with the existing federal, state or city laws, rules and regulations and Miss Philippine Angel of Charity 2009 will be given to a candidate who can solicit the highest amount through journal advertisers only.
Only the 12 Miss Teen Philippines USA 2009 finalists can vie for these titles. The winners of Miss Philippine Hearts and Hopes USA 2009, Miss Philippine Angel of Charity 2009 and the Miss Philippine Pearl America Idol 2009 will be honored separately from the Miss Teen Philippines USA 2009 the very same night, with a crown, a sashes, a trophy, a banner bearing her name, and a bouquet of flowers. In addition, the Miss Philippine Hearts and Hopes USA 2009, Miss Philippine Pearl America Idol 2009 and the Miss Philippine Angel of Charity 2009 winners will be awarded a non-transferable round trip tickets to the Philippines if they can raise a minimum of $3,000 (net)each from all the solicited funds on ticket sales, etc.
While in the Philippines, the winners, together with the Miss Teen Philippines USA 2009, shall receive an amount appropriated by the Miss Teen Philippines Pageant to be donated to a place of their choice. The winners must set up a project beneficial to the community of their chosen place. They will be the main sponsors of their projects with the special support of the PHHOSO, Inc., AZE GROUP EVENTS AND PRODUCTIONS and the Philippine-based ECL Foundation, Inc. If the winners of Miss Philippine Hearts and Hopes USA 2009, Miss Philippine Pearl America Idol 2009 and Miss Philippine Angel of Charity 2009 wins the Miss Teen Philippines USA 2009, she shall relinquish the title to the next highest fund raiser and the next candidate who garnered the second highest vote in the internet.
The Miss Teen Philippines USA Pageant Staff, PHHOSO Inc., AZE GROUP EVENTS AND PRODUCTIONS and the committee to search for Miss Teen Philippines USA 2009, reserves the right to make any changes in the foregoing rules and regulations when necessary, including revision of schedules and dates. Contestants and parents agree to release Miss Teen Philippines USA Pageant Staff, PHHOSO, Inc. 2004-2007 Officers and Members, AZE GROUP EVENTS AND PRODUCTIONS and the committee on Search for Miss Teen Philippines USA 2009 from any form of liability and responsibility, except as specified in the foregoing rules and regulations.
- Miss Teen Philippines USA Beauty Pageant is under the supervision of MISS TEEN PHILIPPINES USA PAGEANT STAFF, with the special guidance and participation of PHHOSO, INC., and AZE GROUP EVENTS AND PRODUCTIONS.
